Next month, Umphrey’s McGee will release their new album it’s not us, and the band has announced a special performance and live interview at New York’s Cutting Room in celebration of the effort.

The band will play a short, intimate performance at the venue, along with a portion for audience questions and an interview conducted by author and journalist Alan Paul, biographer for the Allman Brothers Band via his book One Way Out. The event, part of BackStory Events, will be streamed live via Guitar World.

UM’s album it’s not us is set for release on January 12, and the Cutting Room event will take place January 18. Tickets go on sale today at 2pm. More information can be found here. The band will also play a three-night stand at NYC’s Beacon Theatre starting January 19.
