Members of the Disco Biscuits and TAUK will come together as Tauking Biscuits next month. The first-time pairing will feature the Disco Biscuits bassist Marc Brownstein and Biscuits keyboardist Aron Magner as well as TAUK guitarist Matt Jalbert and TAUK drummer Isaac Teel. The quartet will make their debut at New York’s BB King Blues Club on Friday, January 19 after Umphrey’s McGee open their 20th anniversary run at the nearby Beacon Theatre.

The performance is billed as an official Umphrey’s McGee after show. The members of TAUK and Umphrey’s have a similar hybrid project, Tauking McGee, which offers a mix of covers, originals and improvisational moments.

TAUK will close the year with shows at Charleston, SC’s Pour House on December 28 and 29 and Atlanta’s Variety Playhouse on December 31. The Biscuits will ring in 2018 with shows at New York’s PlayStation Theater from December 28-31.
