Bearing the torch of the sacred steel, Roosevelt Collier will release his debut album Exit 16 on March 9.

Collier is known throughout the blues and jam world for his prowess on the lap and pedal steel guitar. In his storied career, he has shared the stage with the Allman Brothers, The String Cheese Incident, Buddy Guy, Tedeschi-Trucks Band and many more.

His first LP will be produced by Snarky Puppy’s Michael League, and its blend of genres has been described by Collier as “dirty funk swampy grime.”

“This record is a record about me,” Collier said in an official statement. “It’s telling a story of who I am, where I’m from, and where I’m going.”
