This fall, prolific artist, activist and Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Joan Baez will embark on her last formal North American tour.

With a career spanning over more than fifty years, Baez remarks in a press release that she is “looking forward to being on the road” and sharing her “new music as well as longtime favorites” with fans.

The tour will support Joan Baez’s new album, Whistle Down The Wind, due out this Friday, March 2. Whistle Down The Wind is Baez’s first release since her 2008 Grammy-nominated effort Day After Tomorrow.

Whistle Down The Wind is streaming now exclusively on NPR Music and is available for pre-order here.

Baez’s tour will kick off on September 11 at the State Theatre in Ithaca, NY. Other stops include New York’s historic Beacon Theatre, Denver’s Paramount Theatre and more. The tour concludes November 17 at Oakland’s Fox Theatre. See the full schedule below.

Tickets for the North American tour go on sale March 2. Every ticket purchased will include a CD or digital download of Whistle Down The Wind. More information on pre-sales and other ticket details can be found on venues’ websites.
