After a busy winter touring with Mike Gordon, keyboardist Robert Walter has scheduled a late-night show at New Orleans’ Blue Nile with his band Posthuman. The show will take place on the night of April 27 (or, more accurately, the early morning hours of April 28), helping to kick off Jazz Fest 2018.

The featured players in Posthuman include Cochemea Gastelum of The Dap Kings, Reed Mathis of Tea Leaf Green, drummer Simon Lott, and guitarist Chris Alford.

Walter has a number of performances scheduled for Jazz Fest, including an opening set for Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe on April 28, a spot in the Worship My Organ show with John Medeski on April 29 and more.

Tickets for Robert Walter and Posthuman are available here.
