Yo La Tengo brought their tour to Philadelphia’s Union Transfer on Saturday night, and the band marked the occasion by welcoming local favorite Kurt Vile for a couple songs at the tail-end of their first set.

Vile emerged with his acoustic guitar for the final two songs of the first frame, starting with a cover of The Cure’s “Friday I’m In Love.” Vile had some issues getting his guitar in order but eventually was strumming along with the tune, and the singer-songwriter also stuck around to help out on YLT’s own “Here You Are,” the closing track from the band’s new album There’s a Riot Going On.

See the night’s full setlist below, along with video of the YLT/Vile collaborations. Next up for the band is a stop at Cat’s Cradle in Carrboro, NC, tomorrow night.
