Primus wrapped up a run of Australian shows featuring special guests The Dean Ween Group last night at Melbourne’s Palais Theatre, and the two groups marked the finale by trading sit ins at the end of each other’s performances.

First, Mickey Melchiondo a.k.a. Deaner brought out his old friend and fellow fishing aficionado Les Claypool for the set-closing run of Ween’s “The Mollusk” and “The Rift.” Claypool would later return the favor by welcoming Melchiondo for Primus’ encore, the raucous, solo-laden “Southbound Pachyderm.”
