As always, Jim James is keeping himself busy.

Following 2016’s Eternally Even and 2017’s Tribute to 2, the My Morning Jacket frontman has announced a new outing, entitled Uniform Distortion.

“Touring is fun, but it’s tough to keep a real life together when you’re always gone,” James told Relix, describing MMJ’s recent touring hiatus. “You get this desire to see what it’s like if you actually stopped. But it’s hard for me to stop because I always want to do something, so I end up making another solo record.”

Uniform Distortion is due on June 29 via ATO Records.
