Following news that Neil Young will bring his Crazy Horse band out for another tour (their first since 2014), multi-instrumentalist Nils Lofgren has confirmed via Twitter that he will be joining up with the group, which he was a member of in the early ’70s.

As first reported by JamBase, Lofgren revealed his involvement in the new Crazy Horse tour on his Twitter page, telling fans “I am jumping back in with #CrazyHorse @Neilyoung I will be there. Beyond honored. Nothing like playing with old friends. A friend just reminded me, at this age you can’t coast.”

In addition to his work with Crazy Horse, Lofgren is best known as a member of Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a part of that band in 2014.

So far, the only somewhat-concrete dates on the 2018 Crazy Horse schedule are May 1 and 2 in Fresno, CA.

Stay tuned for more updates.
