On May 2, Phil Lesh will join jam collective California Kind for a performance at Terrapin Crossroads in San Rafael, Calif.
The quintet features singer-songwriter Katie Skene, backed by Rob Barraco (Phil Lesh, The Dead, Dark Star Orchestra, Chris Robinson), Barry Sless (David Nelson Band, Phil Lesh, Moonalice, Cowboy Jazz), Pete Sears (David Nelson Band, Jefferson Starship, Hot Tuna, Moonalice) and John Molo (Phil Lesh, David Nelson Band, Bruce Hornsby, Moonalice).
Lesh’s ready-made connection to a number of the musicians onstage – through his work in Phil & Friends or The Dead – is sure to elicit some smooth, stress-free improvisations.
