Ahead of a lenghy, nationwide tour, Preservation Hall Jazz Band have signed to the legendary Sub Pop Records.

Over its 20-plus year history, Sub Pop has signed iconic acts of all stripes, from Nirvana to The Shins to Flights of the Conchords.

“We are so fucking stoked to welcome legendary Preservation Hall Jazz Band to the Sub Pop roster,” the label wrote in an official statement.

And while the band promises some new music in 2019, Sub Pop has digitally re-released Preservation Hall Jazz Band’s first two records That’s It! and So It Is.

The label also quotes That’s It! co-producer Jim James when he says, “The music will speak forever. Will people stop listening to Beethoven? Will people stop listening to Bob Dylan? Will people stop listening to the Preservation Hall Jazz Band?”
