Three members of the Grateful Dead will share the stage tonight, Sunday October 30. Bob Weir and Mickey Hart will sit in with Bill Kreutzmann and his band 7 Walkers at San Francisco’s Great American Music Hall. In addition to Kreutzmann, this incarnation of 7 Walkers features guitarist Papa Mali, multi-instrumentalist Matt Hubbard and guest bassist Reed Mathis. The Tea Leaf Green bassist is subbing for regular 7 Walkers member George Porter Jr. The three members of the Grateful Dead have not shared the stage at the same time since 2009, though both Weir and Kreutzmann have performed with Hart independently.
