After revealing he had lung cancer last year, Ronnie Wood of The Rolling Stones is officially cancer-free.
The guitarist was diagnosed with lung cancer during a required pre-tour check up in 2017. Instead of undergoing chemotherapy, he opted for surgery to remove the tumor on his left lung.
“I’ve had a great life and I was all ready to go,” he told Metro after learning he was cancer-free. “Wow! I didn’t know I was going to be given the ticket to last this long. What a reprieve.”
The band’s European “No Filter” tour kicks off this May in Dublin, Ireland, and will end July 8 in Warsaw, Poland. For more information on The Rolling Stones, visit their official website.
