Jiggle will perform tonight and tomorrow at Harpers Ferry in Allston, MA. The two-night stand marks the bands final shows in its hometown of Boston. The group has announced that it will play its farewell concert at the Berkshire Mountain Music Festival on August 12 in Great Barrington, MA. Its definitely a hard thing for me because I love playing with these people, says guitarist and founding member Gary Backstrom. Since we made the decision [to part ways] it feels like Im playing like myself for the first time in three years. I feel like Im letting all my inhibitions go. Were all feeling a lot freer in our playing. Its sort of sad and celebratory at the same time. For me its a way to reconnect with the local fans. And this is not the end; its a springboard into the next music chapter. Were not really going anywhere, were just changing our shapeTheres been a little talk of possibly doing a holiday show this December. Backstrom plans to assemble a solo project this fall.
