moe. members Al Schnier and Rob Derhak have announced plans for a mini tour this month. The duo will play November 12 at the 40 Watt Club in Athens, GA, November 13 at the Visulite in Charlotte, NC, November 14 at the Court Tavern in New Brunswick, NJ and November 15 at Valentines in Albany, NY. The tour serves as not only a musical outlet, but because of Derhaks fear of flying home following moe.s fall tour. ‘We’re going to play as much music that two people can make possible,’ says Derhak. ‘We’re playing moe. tunes, covers and some stuff we’ve never played before. We’re also going to throw in some rare moe. gems that we haven’t played in years.’
‘This is a very, sort of stripped down, very spare, sort of desolate, one note, sparton stuff,’ adds Schnier. ‘Rob and I tend to contrast each other, so it’s going to be interesting.’
moe. plays tonight at Tipitinas in New Orleans. For the bands remaining fall dates, visit www.moe.org.
