The roster of musical performers slated to appear at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, the cultural event which takes place over two weeks from April 24 to May 4, includes Bob Dylan, Widespread Panic, Ben Harper, a Crusaders Reunion, Ornette Coleman, Buddy Guy, Crosby Stills & Nash, Los Lobos, John Mayer, North Mississippi Allstars, Robert Randolph & the Family Band, Galactic, Mavis Staples, funky Meters, the Neville Brothers and more than a hundred others. Music takes place as part of the Louisiana Heritage Fair at the Fair Grounds Race Course on April 24-27 and May 1-4, offering 12 stages of music, food and art from the region. Not an official part of JazzFest but a significant addition to the festivities is the Superfly During JazzFest Series which also runs from Thursday the 24th through Sunday the 4th. The Dirty Dozen Brass Band will play an 11-night residency at the new multi-stage venue, Twiropa Mills. Other artists to play at Twiropa, the Riverboat Cajun Queen, the Orpheum Theatre and the State Place Theater include: moe, Garage a Trois, Galactic, Yonder Mountain String Band, Soulive, Ween and Col.
