NEW ORLEANS – The Dirty Dozen Brass Band will welcome special guests tonight at Twi-Ro-Pa as recording continues for the groups live album. Soulives Neal Evans and Los Lobos Steve Berlin are among those confirmed to sit in, with others expected throughout the weekend. The CD is due out in early September on Ropeadope Records. It will be the bands first live release in more than 10 years.
DDBB is in the midst of an 11-night run at Twi-Ro-Pa.(The venue draws its name from the building’s history. It was once a mill that produced twine, rope and paper.)
