Several guest musicians took the stage with ekoostik hookah at Frontier Ranch Music Center in Kirkersville, OH, as the band celebrated its 20th Hookahville. Steve Kimock performed with the group on Saturday, adding guitar to Treasures That I Travel For and Life Is Good. Railroad Earths John Skehan, Andy Goessling and Tim Carbone along with Dark Star Orchestra percussionist Rob Koritz then sat in on ‘John Henry’ and ‘Silver Train.’
As has become tradition at Hookahville, drummer Eric Lanese stepped to the front of the stage during the encore. As the band members parents danced on stage, Lanese sang a rendition of Cheap Tricks Surrender, while Shane Frye (The Shantee) took over on drums. The double encore also featured debuts of David Bowie’s ‘Space Oddity,’ Cornelius Brothers & Sister Rose’s ‘Treat Her Like a Lady,’ and Grand Funk Railroad’s ‘We’re an American Band.’
On Friday accordionist C.J. Chenier collaborated with ekoostik hookah on Fats Dominos Walkin in New Orleans and Muddy Waters Lets Make It.
