Legendary guitarist B.B. King took the stage with Galactic last night at Regency Park in Cary, NC. It was the final show of Kings tour with Jeff Beck and Galactic (as well as Mofro, which opened many of the dates). King, who was recently named the third greatest guitarist of all time by Rolling Stone, joined the band for Uptown Odyssey, a song that appears on the bands new album, Ruckus. It was real good, Galactic vocalist Theryl ‘Houseman’ deClouet said shortly after the performance. Were just sky high. Weve been on the tour for six-and-a-half weeks and everythings gone beautifully. [B.B.] was kind of let down we hadnt done it before, but we were trying to give him his space. How do you hang with a legend, you know?
