moe. has combined grassroots marketing with Corporate America. The band has announced a collaborative program with Clear Channel and Coca Cola that will offer fans soundboard matrix recordings just minutes after each show on the fall tour. It will not effect the bands regular taping policy, which allows fans to make audience recordings free of charge. The Instant Live program has previously been tested in Boston clubs and at Allman Brothers Band shows this summer. A price for the recordings has not yet been set.
We have embraced live concert taping for years and that will not change, moe. manager Jon Topper tells Jambands.com. What will change is that fans will now be able to get soundboard recordings, which are of much higher quality. What could be better than riding from moe. show to moe. show listening to a crisp soundboard recording and drinking a cold can of Coke?
moe.s fall tour begins Friday in Huntsville, AL. For the full schedule, visit www.moe.org.
