The 2004 Jammy Awards has confirmed its initial artist announcement. As with past years, each of these performers will be teamed up in novel configurations with other musicians (although the specifics of the pairings will be revealed on the night of the Jammys). Confirmed to participate at the show which will take place on March 16 at the Theater at Madison Square Garden are: Dickey Betts, Randall Bramblett, Oteil Burbridge, The Disco Biscuits, Flavor Flav, Reid Genauer and The Assembly of Dust, Gov’t Mule, JoJo Hermann, Toots Hibbert, Dr. John, George Porter Jr., Chris Robinson, Slick Rick, Soulive, Brian Stoltz, String Cheese Incident, Reggie Watts, Steve Winwood and Victor Wooten. Winwood will receive the lifetime achievement award. This is only the initial roster of performers with other announcements to follow (and additional musicians to appear on the night of the show). Individuals may still vote for the awards at Jammys.com. Tickets may be purchased via Ticketmaster or without any service charge at the Madison Square Garden box office.
