Al & the Transamericans, who will enter the studio in May to begin works on their second disc, are currently traveling to the northeast following a gig at South By Southwest last weekend. On Tuesday the group hit the Brandyhouse in Atlanta, during which David Gans sat in for an extended, exploratory ‘Mexico’ that segued into ‘Dire Wolf.’ Earlier that night the Transamericans’ Gordon Stone added pedal steel to the opening act Packway Handle Band’s take on ‘Psycho Killer.’
