Brooklyn’s Southpaw is the location of an event designed to honor the life and music of the late Blues Traveler bassist Bobby Sheehan. The night will feature an All-Star Jam during which one can expect former bandmates and friends to perform (the participants remain unnamed due to prior contractual obligations). This is the first official public tribute event with the full-involment of Sheehan’s extended family. Tickets are now on sale for the evening, with proceeds to benefit the Music Maker Relief Foundation, a nonprofit organization that helps blues musicians in need of financial assistance for basics like medical care, food and housing.
