On February 9, Trey Anastasio make his third appearance at New Yorks Tibet House Benefit. Taking place at Carnegie Hall, the 15th-annual Tibet House Benefit will also feature Marc Anthody Thompson and artist director Phillip Glass, among others. At both the 1999 and 2000 Tibet House Benefits, Anastasio offered a rare acoustic set in addition to also jamming with Patti Smith and Glass. In 2000, the guitarist debuted Third Street, a new Anastasio composition arranged by Glass.

Anastasio last performed at Carnegie Hall on September 25, sitting in for a series of his own compositions with the Vermont Youth Orchestra. Anastasios recent appearance with the Vermont Youth Orchestra has also been documented on a new live CD _ Live from New York _. The former Phish guitarists work is featured on several tracks, including Phish staples ‘Guyute (Orchestral), The Inlaw Josie Wales, and Trey Anastasio Flock of Words. The CD also features works by Vermont composers David Gunn, Thomas Read, Ernest Stires, Troy Peters, and David Ludwig.
