As The Disco Biscuits gear up for their five-night New Year’s run, members of the quartet are also preparing a number of intriguing extracurricular offerings. Following the group’s December 29 performance at Philadelphia’s Electric Factory, keyboardist Aron Magner will join DJ Omen for an after-hours party dubbed Control Room: The Emerald City. Also on the bill are NYC drum and bass DJ Christian Bruna, Final Phaze’s D.R.O, and a trio of local progressive rock bands: Grimace Federation, Sofa King, and Mantenna.

A week later, Magner and DJ Omen will team with Biscuits’ bassist Marc Brownstein for a set of electronic music on JamCruise . The trio will debut

new material from their forthcoming album with the help of Joe Russo, Cheme, and Sunny Michelson. As previously reported, Brownstein will also
play with Russo and the New Deal’s Jamie Shields as the L. Cool Trio on January 1 at New York’s Knitting Factory.
