Last June 16 at New York Citys Crash Mansion a unique musical and religious summit occurred with the debut of the Heavenly Jam Band. Oteil Burbridge took the stage with guitarist Yosi Piamenta and the Piamenta Bands drummer Asaf Shor along with the groups vocalist (and Piamentas son) Moni. The results featured a mix of Piamenta and Burbridge originals (Od Yishama, Get Ready) along with cover of Allman Brothers Band and Jimi Hendrix (the latter tunes a staple for the Hasidic Hendrix). The evening was recorded and is set for release, with additional performances tentatively slated for early 2005 as well.
