The funky Meters, who recently cancelled a few dates due to Art Neville’s exhaustion, are returning to the east coast for a handful of shows early next month. One of these gigs is at ‘the biggest crawfish boil in the Northeast’ which will be hosted by Michael Arnone on June 3, 4 and 5 at Sussex County Fairgrounds in Augusta, NJ. The funky Meters will appear on the Saturday of Crawfish Fest, which as one might imagine, features many artists with a New Orleans flair to their sound. Other performers include Papa Grows Funk, the Subdudes, Sonny Landreth, Red Stick Ramblers and Buckwheat Zydeco.
