Atlanta music fans are eagerly awaiting the return of Sound Tribe Sector Nine June 3 and 4. They used to call the area home, and played some of their first big gigs there, before they migrated west. The band only has festival dates scheduled for this summer (excepting a July 23 date at Chicagos House of Blues), but in Atlanta they will perform two full two set shows at the Masquerade Music Park, located just behind Atlantas soon-to-be defunct landmark The Masquerade Club on North Avenue.

Opening acts for these dates were announced recently. DJ Logic will step up on June 3, and The Benevento/Russo Duo will be the appetizer on June 4. Speculation has already begun as to who may join STS9 during their set, and these musicians, not to mention the many fine DJs that call Atlanta home, are at the top of the list. Those looking to save a little money should take advantage of the limited number of two day passes still available for forty dollars.
The Conscious Alliance will continue their admirable altruitstic work with posters available for these shows, the proceeds from which will go to help feed the hungry in Atlanta, and nationally. Meanwhile, group is offering exclusive original music and live shows downloads for sale on-line, including Phase II CDs which include their widely celebrated runs in Asheville and Athens from earlier this year, and collaborations with Richard Devine, Rena Jones and Audio Angel.
