Longtime friends Marco Benevento (The Duo), Marc Friedman (The Slip) and Andrew Barr (The Slip) will team for a series of New England performances this August. Beginning on August 11, the trio will perform shows at Providence, RIs Tazza Caffe, Brookline, MAs Matt Murphys Pub and Burlington, VTs Higher Ground. Slip guitarist Brad Barr will also open the groups Higher Ground performance making one collaboration more than a distinct possibility. The Duo performs next at Columbia, MO’s 9th Street Summerfest on July 27, while The Slip is off the road until the Nugroove Music Festival on August 5.
