Last night, the Waybacks celebrated the release of their latest album, From the Pasture to the Future, at San Francisco’s Great American Music Hall. As previously announced, Bob Weir joined the group onstage for much of its set, including a number of popular classic-rock covers including the Beatles’ ‘Tomorrow Never Knows,’ Led Zeppelin’s ‘Kashmir’ and Bob Dylan’s ‘Like a Rolling Stone.’ Weir also helped lead the Waybacks through a handful of songs from the Dead canon such as ‘Cumberland Blues,’ ‘Brokedown Palace’ and ‘Jack Straw.’ Weir will make an encore with the Waybacks at Wilkesboro, NC’s Merlfest tomorrow.
