The Austin City Limits Music Festival will once again veer towards the eclectic, boasting sets from Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, the String Cheese Incident, the Flaming Lips, Ben Harper & the Innocent Criminals, Van Morrison, Willie Nelson, Massive Attack, John Mayer and Jack White’s The Raconteurs. Scheduled to take place from September 15-17 in Austin’s Zilker Park, the multi-day gathering will also feature performances from Galactic, Los Lonely Boys, Ween, Matisyahu, The Shins, G.Love & Special Sauce, Calexico, Guster, Secret Machines, Gnarls Barkley, Damian Rice, Cat Power & the Memphis Rhythm Band, Nickel Creek, Damian ‘Jr. Gong’ Marley, Kings of Leon, Iron & Wine and the New Pornographers. A pair of New Groove-alums, the Benevento/Russo Duo and New Monsoon, have also nabbed spots on the multi-band bill. The New Orleans Social Club, a union of displaced Big Easy musicians, will also make a rare festival appearance just miles from the Austin club which sparked its initial union.
