Over the weekend, the second leg of the Dave Matthews Bands summer tour picked up at Hartford, CTs New England Dodge Music Center. On Saturday Soulive supported the veteran arena-rockers, while Govt Mule supplied opening duties on Sunday. As expected, on both nights Matthews invited his opening bands guitarist out for an encore appearance, with Eric Krasno performing on Smooth Rider and Ants Marching and Warren Haynes enhancing #41. As previously reported, former Soulive trumpeter Rashawn Ross is currently touring with the Dave Matthews Band and performed with the quintet for most of its two-night stand.

Tomorrow, the Dave Matthews Band and Govt Mule will perform at Cincinnati, OHs Riverbend Music Center. Next weekend, the Dave Matthews Band will host its second annual Randalls Island event, which features Govt Mule, David Gray, Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, Slightly Stoopid, Tea Leaf Green and Yonder Mountain String Band.
