This past week Peter Prince opened three shows for the Ryan Montbleau Band, which in the midst of three New England residencies. On Tuesday night at Sully’s Pub in Hartford, CT, Prince concluded his set with a cover of ‘That Lucky Old Sun’ that featured Montbleau (acoustic guitar and vocals) and his bandmates Larry Scudder (viola) and Matty Giannaros (bass). Montbleau returned the favor on Wednesday at the Wheelhouse Tavern in Narragansett, RI as he began his second set by bringing Prince up to share vocals on a version of ‘That Lucky Old Sun.’ The next night in Worcester, MA at Greendale’s Pub, Prince brought out Montbleau, Scudder, Giannaros and RMB keyboardist Jason Cohen for a take on Simple Twist of Fate.’ Montbleau and Company later put an exclamation point on the three shows, closing out the run with Prince on stage for a version of the Moon Boot Lover original ‘Ali.’

The musicians will share a bill again on Saturday in Cambridge, MA at Club Passim, with Prince opening the late show for the Ryan Montbleau Band after Mieka Pauley opens the early one.
