nero Returns from Hiatus
Former New Groove of the Month nero will return from hiatus in January. The group will perform a pair of shows on January 12 and 13 at Ottawas Cafe Dekcuf. On each night members of the group will open for themselves, with guitarist Dave Lauzon offering a solo performance on the 12th and Elbeejay (featuring drummer Jay McConnery) supplying support duties on the 13th. In addition, bassist Chris Buote will sit-in with both opening acts. The Ottawa-bred band began an indefinite hiatus on December 31, 2004.
