Last night at the Vic Theatre in Chicago, Jeff Tweedy returned to the stage with Golden Smog. Although Tweedy appears on the group’s recent recording, Another Fine Day, he had announced that he would not have time to tour in support of the release. However, with the band in his hometown, Tweedy came out out for the entire show. The Wilco frontman, made the most of it, performing on electric and acoustic guitars as well as bass and tambourine over the course of the evening. Golden Smog features former Soul Asylum guitarist Dan Murphy along with three Jayhawks alums (Gary Louris, Marc Perlman and Kraig Johnson).
