While the roster of The Motet has fluctuated a bit over the past eight years, co-founders Scott Messersmith and Dave Watts have maintained a steady presence with the group. Now, somewhat ironically at a time when the band has landed on a consistent steady roster of players, Messersmith will depart. The percussionist will perform his final gig with the group (at least for the foreseeable future) this Saturday. Messersmith’s last performance will be a hometown gig at Black Forest in Nederland, Co.
