Drummer Adam Deitch first made a name playing in Lettuce and later spent a few years on the road with John Scofield. Lately the versatile drummer has tried his hand at hip-hop with increased regularity, recording with everyone from Talib Kweli to J-Live. On February 8 Adam Deitch Project will back hip-hop icon Slick Rick for a performance at New Yorks Knitting Factory. The Adam Deitch Project will provide live beats over Slick Ricks lyrics.
