The SXSW Film Festival kicks off tonight in Austin. Site editor Dean Budnicks documentary Wetlands Preserved: The Story of an Activist Rock Club, will screen twice at the Austin Convention Center as part of SXSW: on Wednesday, March 14 (9PM) and Saturday, March 17 (2PM). In addition, Les Claypools directorial debut Electric Apricot: Quest For Festeroo, is on tap (so to speak) for Friday March 16 (3:30PM) at the Alamo Downtown Theater. Then on Saturday the 17th, Electric Apricot, the band, will perform a 9:15PM set at Opal Divines Firehouse.
