Cyro Baptista and Billy Martin will host another series of exotic rhythms workshops this spring. On March 31, April 1, 7 and 8 the veteran percussionists will host both a morning and an afternoon workshop in Tenafly, NJ. Though the workshops are a bit pricy ($400 for four classes), each class promises to be informative. Baptista will discuss Brazilian culture, music and being a percussionist, while Martin will conduct a creative music workshop using various ‘exotic’ percussion instruments on-hand. The evening will end with a group jam, with the percussionists providing all the instruments necessary for the two hour session.
