Dave Matthews Band has confirmed its annual summer tour. The group will start things a bit late this summer, as Matthews is expecting his third child. After a one-off show at Bridgeview, ILs Toyota Park on July 8, the quintets tour proper will open with a two-night run at Mansfield, MAs Tweeter Center on August 1 and 2. The band will travel to most major markets across the country until wrapping up with a two-night run at Los Angeles Hollywood Bowl on October 1 and 2. Of particular note is a three night stand over Labor Day weekend at the Gorge Amphitheatre in George, WA with Robert Randolph & The Family Band. Other opening acts include Umphrey’s McGee, Robert Randolph & The Family Band, Xavier Rudd, The Roots, Stephen Marley, Toots & the Maytals and The Wailers.

Meanwhile, Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds April 22 performance at New Yorks Radio City Music Hall has been added to the Green Apple Music & Arts Festival. In addition, Charlie Hunter and his trio, which features once and future Fat Mama keyboardist Erik Deutsch and drummer Simon Lott, will also play a Green Apple Show at the Housing Works Bookstore Cafn April 20. All proceeds from the event will go to support the programs of Housing Works, Inc., a not-for-profit organization that provides housing, healthcare, advocacy, and other services to homeless people living with HIV and AIDS.
