The Duo Moves Green Apple Performance

Following an announcement that New Yorks Tonic will close its doors on April 13, the Benevento/Russo Duo have rescheduled its April 19 Green Apple acoustic performance. The organ and drums combo will now play two separate seated shows at New Yorks Knitting Factory on April 19. For these special performances the Knitting Factory is going to scale back its capacity to 200 and fill 3/4th of its main room with seats.

Before then Benevento and Russo will continue to gig in a variety of different settings. This Friday Russo will perform in Williamsburg, Brooklyn with Skerik, Charlie Hunter drummer Simon Lott, former Fat Mama guitarist Jonathan Goldberger, and guitarist Mike Gamble. Meanwhile, new father Benevento will join The MK Groove Orchestra at New Yorks Blue Note on April 14.
