Michael Kang and Chris Berry play a pair of String Cheese Incident post-shows in July. The strange bedfellows have been playing together as Panjea for some time and will release a new studio album, _ Find A Way_, on SCI Fidelity later this year. My music is very influenced by African music and his is very rooted in folk-rock, Berry says. So were trying to bring those worlds together, and Panjea has become something of a joint venture. Thanks to globalization, these days every genre has a hyphen in its name and I think thats a positive thing. Those boundaries I experienced when I first came back in the mid-1990s seem to be gradually breaking down. Panjea will play a late night show at New Yorks Highline Ballroom on July 14 and post-show at Berkeley, CAs Ashkenaz on July 21.
