String Cheese Incident returned to Hornings Hideout for one final time this weekend to stage a mini-festival of sorts, featuring Femi Kuti & the Positive Force , ALO, Lucent Dossier Vaudeville Cirque, among others. The sextet offered a spirited show each night of its residency, including an encore consisting of Under African Skies and Sittin’ On Top of the World on night one, a special third set on night two and an EOTO drum segment before BAM! on night three. The groups final show also featured some special guests, with all of ALO appearing on Hey Pocky Way, ALOs Dan Lebowitz playing guitar on Will It Go Round In Circles and Bill Nershis Honkytonk Homeslice collaborator Scott Law appearing on On the Road, before the group returned for a second encore to offer a touching Way Back Home.

At the end of the night, Northwest hero Josh Clauson, of Flowmotion, also played guitar on a cover of Keller Williams Best Feeling.

Nershi also addressed the audience, thanking the people who put the show together and asking the crowd how they were feeling. After the audience replied with a huge cheer, a nostalgic Nershi said, ‘I don’t really have to ask I just like to hear the noise.
A handful of surprises also took place during ALOs set. Law appeared on Plastic Bubble, Nershi sat-in on Wasting Time and the mysterious Bay Area pencil drawling Travoltordo appeared on stage with the group throughout it set. The group also offered a unique mash-up of its Roses and Clover into a Shapeshifter/Gardener mash-up.
