Next weekend, the Yonder Mountain String Band will host its 6th annual North West String Summit in North Plains, OR. Also performing at Hornings Hideout from August 24-26 will be Tony Trischka, Uncle Earl, Old School Freight Train, Strings for Industry (Darol Anger, Ty North, Scott Law) and Wayword Sons. Then after a Red Rocks appearance the following weekend, Yonder will take some time off the road until it begins a fall tour in early October. Just added to the bill for the groups annual Kinfolk Celebration are the Wood Brothers, who will open the October 6 gig at Chicagos Congress Theater (which also will feature an appearance by Jon Fishman). Chris and Oliver Wood also will join Yonder for shows in Milwaukee (October 5, The Rave at the Eagles Club) and Detroit (October 7, St. Andrews Hall).
