Dark Star Orchestra is rapidly approaching its 10th anniversary performance. In celebration, the group will begin a short run of shows with two performances at Thornville, OHs Fall Hookahville on August 31 and September 1. From there, the group will venture into the Southeast before linking up with the DSO Rex Caravan Tour for a twenty-date fall tour scheduled to begin September 26 at Seattles Showbox. The Rex Caravan Tours goal is to solicit donations of $5 or more, which in turn will be directed to the Rex Foundations charitable efforts. The group will return to the east coast later this year for a run of November/December shows, including a special 10th anniversary gig which will take place at South Burlington, VTs Higher Ground on November 11 (the groups fist show took place November 11, 1997 at Chicagos Martyrs).

In addition, Dark Star Orchestra has confirmed that it will celebrate New Years Eve at Philadelphias Keswick Theatre. The performance caps off a brief run that also includes an appearance at Frederick, MDs Weinberg Center for the Arts on December 28 and a show at Baltimores Rams Head Live on December 29. As previously reported, the group will perform aboard Jam Cruise 6 and at Amsterdams Jam in the Dam festival in early 2008.
