Just finished recording and editing the strings for the record with Uncle Phil here at home. It’s dark outside and my computer is too old to have that handy backlit key action. I thought I’d tell you where I’m at with the record while I’m drinking this Guiness. Me and Golden Will have been running in and out da Schtud in Hollywood for the last three months whenever either of us aren’t on tour and we ended up with the bones of an album. We called up Phil and Jerome, sat back and watched as they did the rest, talented bastards that they are. We also called up Handsome Sam and his brand new wife, Steph, to help out with a couple of tracks. While I was on the last tour, I edited the whole record so as to stay sane. I was that creepy guy hanging out in catering, headphones on, drinking heavily and squinting. Then I got back and gave the whole shebang to Tom Biller in Echo Park. He started mixing last week and at some point very soon the album will be done. As soon as we get some finished mixes, they’ll be up here_.
