World Trade Center 7 was the last tower to fall on September 11 and has since become the first World Trade Center building to reopen to the public. This week Wall Street Rising is celebrating with a series of free after work concerts featuring a mix of indie, folk and roots-rock musicians. This evening, the Hold Steady will headline a show outside the New York building featuring Old 97s and Illinois. Tomorrow, M. Ward, Victoria Williams and McCarthy Trenching will all play at World Trade Center 7 and on Wednesday Nick Lowe, the Holmes Brothers and Ollabelle will each perform as part of the series. All shows are scheduled to start 5:30 EST and remain rain or shine.
