Umphreys McGee enlisted some familiar faces for support during its performance at Austins Stubb’s BBQ last Saturday. After opening the evenings festivities with his band Outformation, Sam Holt stepped up to the plate to play guitar on Hangover. Then Kenny Liner, who played a post-show gig at Stubbs later in the evening with his band The Bridge, stopped by to beatbox on a Snoop Dogg jam during one of Umphreys McGees improvisational Jimmy Stewart segments. Umphreys McGee will perform at Atlantas The Echo Project this weekend.

In addition, as previously reported, Umphreys McGee guitarist Brendan Bayliss is the latest musician to step up to the plate for a Jambands.com Readers Interview. We will collect questions over the next few days and ask them of Bayliss, so feel free to send your queries on the forthcoming new Umphrey’s release, Live at the Murat, the band’s ‘Terror-Torium’ gig or whatever else suits your fancy. Please send questions to us at [email protected].
