Sacramento-based DIG Music is now best known for launching the career of current Phil Lesh Friend, Jackie Greene. However, the label will soon begin a relationship with some other of Lesh’s associates. DIG Music will serve as the distribution arm for Donna Jean and the Tricksters’ Heart of Gold Records, which will issue the band’s self-titled debut in January.

DJ&T will ease up on live gigs through end of the year as they prepare to ramp things up in conjunction with the CD release. The next live date for the group is on November 17 at the Narrows Center for the Performing Arts in Fall River, MA. In addition, on the following evening, the band will appear at the The Main Pub in Manchester, CT. The group will then be off until a New Year’s Eve appearance, opening for the New Riders of The Purple Sage at The SILO in Reading, PA.
