As of late, Chick Corea has been touring with Bela Fleck in support of their new release, The Enchantment. At the end of the month, Corea will perform a Blue Note residency with one of Fleck’s bandmates. Flecktone Victor Wooten will appear as part of Corea’s Elektric Band from December 26-31 at the New York City nightclub. The group also will feature drummer Dave Weckl, saxophonist Eric Marienthal and Frank Gambale on guitar. Prior to the shows at year’s end, the band also will appear in Oakland at Yoshi’s (December 11-16) and in Los Angeles at the Catalina Bar & Grill (December 18-23).
